We'll publish them on our site once we've reviewed them. Diego is a veteran of the Paradiso conflict as a Gecko pilot , and once a hero. Note about age: Diego looks almost forty years old. Which actually is the reason for him not seeking a combat position in a merc outfit: being dead sucks, and he knows it for fact from his personal, first-hand experience.

Simply too much time to spend it watching holos all day long. Danger Rose , Section9 , Cthulhu and 1 other person like this.

Big day today… She throws her dried normal clothes into the shopping bag her current ersatz attire came in yesterday and goes on to pull on her shoes. Best of luck. Do call later, let me know how it went. Alex nods decisively and sets out. Diego watches her go. He did all he could for now. Nothing to do but wait. Diego takes care of his breakfast and morning workout, then decides he needs to clear his head and unwind a bit.

To that end, he takes full advantage of the improved weather and takes his motorcycle out. He spends the entire morning driving - nothing really aggressive, his is not that kind of machine anyway. Just a fairly leisurely ride around the many roads around Belo Horizonte. Close to noon, Diego finally guides the machine back home.

Alex dressed in casual but nice - and pretty conservative - blouse, skirt, and ankle boots is sitting with her back against his door, arms crossed on drawn up knees, face lowered and hidden within them. Definitely not good. I certainly made an impression. Should have seen his face when I crashed into the office. But we sat. And I talked. Told him everything, like you said. And, well, maybe I got a little emotional. I don't think they will be disappointed.

I like the idea behind this story. Kyle is a regular junior-high school kid who discovers he is really King Arthur sent into the future by Merlin for protection. He is being pursued by Morgana. Merlin drags him back to Avalon to acquire Excalibur from the Lady in the Lake. However, the execution of this story seriously needs more work.

The characters were a bit flat. I really knew almost nothing about Kyle.
